Season: Autumn Ends: December 1, 2008 Weather: A chilly wind blows past everywhere. Its autumn and the lands are beginning to show. The West shows it least, its still warm there, summer still holding on there. It is thundering around there however. Terrible thunderstorms, but no rain, beware. In the South the fall is hardly making a different, same as always, hot and dry. The East is the most changing. The leaves of the forest there are changing into wonderful shades of yellow, orange, and red. The North is chilling down, and the leaves are falling off fast. Its thunder storming there but its also beginning to rain, and the frosts in the morning are freezing. Autumn is here and its bringing Winter soon, beware.

Pandorahas opened the box
The fae wasn't one to linger anywhere for long yet this winter wonderland kept hold on her heart, chaining her to this nest of snow for longer than she wished.
Appropriate, she supposed, as her own heart seemed to be encased in ice just as this grove. Yet her heart was not so bright, not so pretty... no, her heart may be ice but it's also enshrouded in darkness.
A soft puff of air escaped her, creating a slight fog above the cold wintry creek. It was a beautiful thing... cold, gentle, and narrow - much like herself, she briefly acknowledged.
Her ponderings were suddenly cut short for a moment as her attention drifted from the narrow icy creek to the small sparrow chirping to her left. Her dark eyes narrow slightly at the annoying twitters, such a tiny thing.. so fragile. Snorting, she shifted her weight to her right side and shook her mane slightly, the colorful strands falling messily in every direction.
She didn't care much for creatures that small unless to simply admit they were an annoyance, like a thorn stuck in her coat or a fly perching on her narrow back. Truly, the fae prefered those of her own kind or a creature which can understand her. Of course, she enjoyed to talk of nothing in particular and simply savor the rare instsances where nothing is very important yet... The fae chuckled softly, her eyes shifting back to the freezing creek, to twist the minds of others and speak in circles...
Well, that was simply much more enjoyable.
Once more, she sighed softly, the air escaping her in such a great extent that her sides rose and fell quickly and loudly. She was bored. There was nothing and no one to play with and she truly wished she could find something... her eyes obtained a wicked gleam as her thoughts circled... or someone preferably.
Then again... this land seemed to be empty as of late, as if every equine was wary of venturing out into the open. She supposed it was because of the feel of the land these days, it was growing darker for sure...
The fae sneered suddenly, yes that may be the reason the lights and some of the neutral placed equines weren't venturing out but as for those of her kind.
She blamed that entirely on aherin's kin... Sparrow they named him. Her eyes shifted back towards the stallions namecalling perched on the limb. It was silent now but when her eyes landed on it and a snort of frustration escaped her, the small fragile creature lifted its tiny wings and took flight.
Her chuckles followed it as it fleed, yes... Sparrow would not last long if she had anything to say about, now to find a way to corrupt him... or better yet... destroy him. After all...
Sparrows were such fragile things.

Lasca appeared, as though materializing from nothing, in the cold area. She had been wandering these lands when a fae had caught her eye, a young one at that. She preferred young ones, they were easier to mould to become a dark. Devious thoughts came to mind as plans were made about this conversion.
Boldly she left her area of cover and headed toward the equine. Her charcol pelt dritfted across the vacant landscape appearing as a shadow. She tucked her body, her bloodlines showing proudly. Her black complexion contrasted brightly against the white snow.
An odour hit her nares, nearly overwhelming her. This would be easier than she had anticipated, the mare already had a set mind. She sauntered over to the mare, examining her patchwork colouring.

Her eyes, one pale blue and the other deep black, snapped open when she sensed the approach of another. Her nares flared slightly as the scent drifted across the breeze in front of her, bringing with it the smell of another fae.
Ears flickered backwards slightly as she shifted her stance, waiting for the moment of greeting. Anticipation coursed through her and though her eyes settled upon the frigid waters before her, attention was quietly set upon the other fae.
She wondered briefly, if the fae which was approaching was of the darkness or of the light. It mattered not to her really, as no doubt the silly mare would play right into her twisted web.
A soft snort escaped as she thought of this, it was true she supposed. Her games could be described as webs.
Her eyes shifted over to the mare when she spoke, her body following after as she stood and quietly surveyed the darkn mare. Truly, this one was of the dark. It was plainly obvious.
A sneer escaped her maw at the brief thought that filtered her mind... Why is it all the ones of darkness were always black..? Could the norm be broken at least once, herself not included...?
She gave the mare a disinterested once over before turning her body slightly to the freezing creek once more, flicking her head slightly so that her forelock - which had been resting on her pale blue eye - shifted the to other side now revealing her strange eye to the mare.
Is it that you do not care that you intrude upon a strangers ponderings... or is it that you find it amusing to do so?
A brief glance to the black, elegantly trimmed mare then she continued, not really caring of the answer.
I am Pandora. Your calling fae?
Her patience was neverending and truly, she did not feel in such a playful mood any longer. Ah well, she will wait this out and see how it goes.
[[I really wanted to reply, but I'm sorry it's not great. I kinda dont have muse tonight. Just got back from an AWESOME riding lesson on my FAVORITE horse of all time - so still psyched on that, hehe]]

The brisk, unfriendly breeze swarmed around the equines, picking up Lasca's tassles and letting them dance about before they settled down again on her black nape. The blank landscape nearly blinded her dark orbs as she scanned the horizons. All that met her eyes was white. It was as if she was going blind - all she could see was white, the only thing signifying life was this other mare and the occasional shadow cast by a tree. Other than this, the land was bare.
A sharp shiver shook her body, tension creeping up on her every minute. She really didn't like this place - it smelled of the lights. Everything here was coated with their horrid stentch.
A searing pain shot up her column as her frog made contact with the white, fluffy snow. She pulled her piston back in shock setting it down in a place where it might be sheltered from the snow. Her eyes caught the flakes shining as they fluttered off of the trees and bushes. What a creepy place.
A brief moment of fear threatened her body but it slowly subsided. A snicker developed in her caverns at the mare's foolish comments. Of course Lasca was intruding on her ponderings because it was amusing. Why else?
Fae? Fae? She had earned more of a title than fae. That title sounded so happy and uplifting, one she often used for a light. She pawed the solid white ground before answering her second inquiry.
They call me by Lasca
A glint of the other mare's blue optic caught Lasca's eye. This was a horse of the devil. A grin came to Lasca's blackened features as she plotted.
Mare, how would you like to travel with me, out of this barren land and to the darker side of the mountain.
Her offer was a generous one - unlike her. She was offering the advantage of numbers, this mare and Lasca. Together they could find a herd to conquer.

Truly, it as amusing to see how words could affect another. Whether the words themselves were wrong or simply the way they are said and in her own mind, the way she had phrased her words affected this mare.
As she watched the way the mare tensed and shivered, twitched with every noise her urge to play returned and with it a sense of anticipation courisng through her darkened veins. Obviously, this mare had no sense in the lands of the light. If she were a canine, she knew her head would be tilted to the side in a brief play of curiosity. But alas, she was not a canine and even if she were her curiositiy rarely showed itself to others.
Indeed, this was a curious scenario. Placed upon the blinding land with a mare of the darkest coat and another of the most confusing, together with an undercurrent of deception. Her thoughts were interrupted then by the mare in front of her when she spoke.
In her mind's wondering her eyes had shifted to glance around the fluffed white and now as it returned to the only black spot marring the surface she wondered...
Shifting, her muscles tensing as once more as she turned away from the mare, head lowering toward the frigid waters. Her nares flared lightly as she took in the scent of the cold, such a refreshing and pleasing scent it was... burning her insides as it were. Her eyes darkened in pleasure of the pain it brought, for breathing in such freezing air was, indeed, not the most enjoyable of experiences but to her...
A chuckle escaped her maw as she realized not only this, but that she had ignored the mare's question for the past few moments, surely she was getting impatient... but what was it that she would get out of this arrangement?
Raising her head, she glanced towards this 'Lasca' with an almost thoughtful look. Letting her gaze wonder over the mare's physique her thoughtful look grew into an almost gleeful, devious one. Oh yes, she knew now what she would get out of this.
She turned fully towards Lasca then and huffed lightly before responding.
I suppose... that I could lend my time and presence to one of the same darkness as I...
A smirk grew upon her maw then....
Be warned, Lasca, that this arrangement is for my own benefit as it is yours. Obviously, this land of what you most likely consider the "light"... here she sneered at the word, is bothering you. Amusing, as this land will one day be ours, not theirs.
A considering look then towards the mare and then another chuckle.
For now, I'll follow you.
That being said, she shifted slightly away from the mare and glanced around... one last lingering look at the cold, ominous land. Truly, she did so enjoy this area. It appeared to her, she knew, the same way her heart appeared to others.

Auds swiveled on top of the darkened crown, taking in all surrounding sounds. Her feathers near her pistons dragged slightly on the powered ground, leaving trails. Her muscled columns anticipated a long hard run coming and they twitched with excitement. The colourful mare opposing her looked so calm, almost frozen in this wasteland.
Small crystals formed around her flaring nares as the cold air made contact. This was a place she had no immediate desire to revisit. The air was so cold, the landscape so empty. She waited for the mare to answer her generous inquiry.
Becoming impatient, Lasca's banner swatted invisible blood-suckers from her dark pelt. She hated being kept waiting, a lesson not soon forgotten.
She anticipated the patched equines response, waiting for the edged words to flow through her auds. At last they came, pleasently surprising words.
A glare overtook her dark orbs as the topic of uncomfort came, but it was quickly pushed aside as this meant a run. A devious grin took her maw as she pulled her body up into a full-hearted rear. The snow flew helplessly from her hooves as she tore off toward the place of which she belonged. She glanced back only once to make sure the quilted mare was following, but after that let her black heart pour out through her pistons.
